Rupert D’Cruz KC: “Interest from British lawyers in Uzbekistan continues to grow”

On the interest of the British legal community in Uzbekistan:

– Over the past three to four years, the interest of London law firms in cooperating with Uzbekistan has grown significantly. For several years now, I have been organizing English Law Day events in various cities of Uzbekistan, including Tashkent, and each year more and more lawyers from London express their desire to participate in these forums, give presentations, and become sponsors. This year, we expect a record number of speakers and sponsors from London, which clearly reflects the growing interest in Uzbekistan.

Purpose of participating in the London event:

– My main goal in attending today’s event is to introduce the newly established bilateral legal association between lawyers of the United Kingdom and Uzbekistan — the British-Uzbek Law Association. I invite participants to join this association. I hope that thanks to this initiative, more events will be organized in the future — possibly with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan.

Impressions of plov:

– I first tried Uzbek plov 20 years ago and immediately fell in love with it. Every time I visit different cities in Uzbekistan, I look forward to the chance to enjoy a good plov. The plov I had today was excellent! It was one of the best I’ve ever tasted.
