On January 22, 2024, the inaugural event titled "Uzbek Law Day" took place at The Ritz Carlton DIFC, marking a significant occasion in the legal and business communities of Uzbekistan and the UAE. Organized by PraeLegal Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the UAE, the event provided a dedicated platform to discuss future opportunities, prospects, and challenges in Uzbekistan’s investment landscape.

The main goal of "Uzbek Law Day" was to foster a comprehensive dialogue about the emerging legal and business environment in Uzbekistan. The event brought together leading experts from Uzbekistan and the UAE to facilitate knowledge and experience exchange, and to support the development of new business connections and partnerships. This initiative highlights efforts to raise awareness about Uzbekistan’s legal framework, business opportunities, and investment climate, aiming to position the country as an attractive destination for foreign investors.

The event featured presentations and panel discussions by leading representatives from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, and other relevant government bodies, as well as one of Uzbekistan’s top law firms, the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC), and prominent practitioners from the DIFC Courts. Sessions covered the latest legislative developments related to investment, legal security, and arbitration processes, providing participants with essential, up-to-date information to navigate Uzbekistan’s regulatory environment.
